For the past 20 years, Ryan has built cardiovascular imaging from the ground up at Atlanta Heart Specialists, growing what started as a single location into a ten-site operation spanning nuclear cardiology, cardiac PET/CT, coronary CTA, echocardiography, and vascular imaging across Georgia.
In practice, that has meant opening ten nuclear cardiology departments, managing a $5.5M imaging equipment portfolio, overseeing multi-million dollar facility construction projects, negotiating capital equipment and radiopharmaceutical contracts, deploying enterprise imaging platforms across all ten locations, and maintaining IAC and ACR accreditation compliance throughout. Ryan has also stayed clinically active the entire time, currently performing Rubidium-82 cardiac PET/CT on the GE Omni Legend; that frontline perspective has shaped every operational decision along the way.
On the technology side, Ryan has integrated AI-assisted platforms including Cleerly and HeartFlow, led SPECT imaging for the ASPECT clinical trial investigating a novel pharmacologic stress agent, and kept the cardiac imaging program at the leading edge of non-invasive cardiac diagnostics.
In 2012, Ryan founded Ryan Paul Consulting and has spent the eleven years since collaborating with CEOs and executives of multi-million dollar companies as an applications specialist, brand developer, scientific advisory board member, and technical consultant, including industry-side work with Astellas Pharma and UltraSPECT. He's been described as loyal, honest, vastly knowledgeable, and genuinely enthusiastic.
Ryan is passionate about the intersection of clinical excellence, operational strategy, and emerging imaging technology, and is always interested in connecting with others working at that same crossroads.
Ryan holds a BA in Radiologic Technology, is a certified nuclear cardiac technologist (NCT), and is a part-time drummer for a "Geek Rock" band called Hyperspace.
